Vazhakkai Bajji Recipe/ How to make Vazhakkai Bajji / Raw banana bajji
Bajji is my all-time favourite evening snack. Especially when the weather is cold hot bajjis and tea will be something which I crave for. Bajjis are made with brinjal, capsicum, Onion and many more veggies. But the batter remains same for everything. Here I have given the recipe for Vazhakkai Bajji which can be seen in almost all South Indian tea stalls. Learn how to make this tasty Vazhakkai bajji from easy stepwise pics.
- 2 Vazhakkai/ Raw banana
- 1 cup Gram flour/ besan
- 1/4 cup Rice flour
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Chilli powder
- 2 pinch Baking soda
- 1/8 tsp Hing
- Oil to deep fry
Mix besan, rice flour, turmeric powder, chilli powder, hing and salt. Add water to form a smooth batter. The consistency should be that of idly batter.
Add baking soda and mix evenly.
Heat oil in a kadai. Meanwhile peel off the skin and cut raw banana into thin slices.
Dip the slices into the batter and fry it in oil.
