Ingredients:
- Rice – 1 cup
- Urad dal – 3/4 cup
- Coconut milk (thin milk) – 4 cups
- Salt
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds – 1/2 tsp
Method:
Dry roast the urad dal till it turns golden brown.
In a pan take oil, add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves.
In a cooking vessel take coconut milk and add the seasoning to it. Let it boil.
Wash rice and daal and add it to the coconut milk. Add salt.
Cover and cook the rice in low flame for 15 to 20 mins.
Once the rice is cooked switch off the flame and cover it for 10 mins.
