Ingredients:
- Onion – 2 sliced
- Tomato – 3 sliced
- Green chilly – 3
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Salt
- Red chilly powder – 2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder – 1 tsp(optional)
- Bay leaf – 1
- Cinnamon – a small piece
- Cardamon – 3
- Cloves – 3
- Coriander leaves – a handful
- Jeeraga samba rice – 1 cup (soaked in water for 30 mins)
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Coconut milk – 1 cup
Method:
In a cooker heat ghee and oil. Add bay leaf, cinnamon , cardamom, cloves and onions. Saute till brown.
Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes.
Add tomatoes, salt and all powders. Saute till oil comes out.
Add coriander leaves.
Add rice and saute.
Add Coconut milk and 1.5 cups water, Add sufficient salt. Let it boil.
Cover the lid and cook in medium flame for 15 mins.
Serve with onion raita.
