Susiyam Recipe / Suzhiyan Recipe/ How to make Susiyan/ Suyyam/ Suzhiyan
Susiyam/ Suzhiyan is a traditional South Indian Sweet, which is usually prepared on festivals like Ganesh chathurthi, Karthigai, diwali, etc. Channa Dal is used for the pooranam (stuffing). But you can try it with green gram or any dal of your choice. This recipe takes me back to my childhood days, when I used to help my grandma in making these balls. I used to wait in excitement for her to fry those. After offering the first of batch of sweets to Lord Ganesh, I ask her ' grandma shall I pickup one from this?? ' I still remember the taste of those crispy susiyams...just yummm...Learn how to make our traditional evening snack Susiyam/ Suzhiyan with easy stepwise pics.
