Simple Pan Roasted Dill Potatoes Recipe
Potatoes are widely avoided by many people these days due to some facts like high carbohydrate, weight gain, gastric problems and many such things which are not completely true. Many of us don't know that potatoes are high in Vitamin C and B6. It is very good for health especially for children. Today I am sharing a recipe which is very different from the regular Potato poriyal which we prepare for lunch. Dill leaves or sabbasige soppu is used to bring a unique flavour to the dish. Make sure your greens are really fresh to get the maximum flavour. This goes very well with rice and curry or even with Chapathi or poori. Try this recipe and let me know your comments. - 3 large Potatoes
- 10 cloves Garlic
- 1 handful Dill leaves chopped
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1/8 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1-2 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
Clean the potatoes nicely and cut it into cubes.
In a kadai melt butter and add the potatoes and salt. Mix well. Cover and cook till the potatoes are half cooked.
Now add the cumin powder, pepper and turmeric powder and chopped garlic. Combine well. Cover and cook for another 7-8 mins. Open the lid and saute frequently.
Now you can see the potatoes are nicely roasted. Add the chopped dill leaves and mix well. Saute it till the dill leaves are perfectly cooked. Add more butter if you want.
Serve this dill potatoes with rice and curry.
