Raw Mango Rice- Pregnancy special recipes (First Trimester)

I am excited to share with you these very special moments of my life ...Yes I am going to be a mum again and the whole journey is gonna repeat once again from the scratch. I am in the middle of my first trimester and I will be sharing some healthy and tasty recipes which all pregnant women crave for. A lot of harmonal transformation happens at your first trimester, due to which morning sickness, nausea and a kind of discomfort become a part of your everyday routine. These days I lterally don't want to eat anything other than tangy and salty. Almost all days my lunch is curd rice, lemon rice or raw mango rice. If I am not feeling like preparing these things I would go for plain rice and some Mango thokku
Today I am gonna share with you a very simple recipe which is very easy to prepare and will surely soothen your taste buds. Learn how to make this easy Raw mango rice with stepwise pics.
- 2 cups Cooked rice
- 1 cup Grated raw mango Skin peeled
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 2 tsp Urad dal
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 2 Green chilles chopped
- curry leaves
- Coriander leaves
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
Keep all the ingredients ready.
Take an iron kadai and heat oil. Throw in mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add urad daal and let it become golden brown.
Now add mango, chillies and curry leaves. Saute for 2 mins.
Add turmeric powder, salt, asafoetida and chilly powder. Cook till the mango turns soft.
Now add the cooked rice and chopped coriander leaves. Combine well and check for salt. Drizzle some oil over the top and mix well.
Tasty tangy mango rice is ready to be served.
