Radish Chutney/ Mullangi Chutney
Radish/Mullangi is not many people favourite but it is surely a healthy vegetable which can't be omitted in your diet. It contains Vitamins A, B6, C, E and K. It contains high amount of antioxidants, fibre, zinc, potassium, magnesium, copper, iron and manganese. Whenever I get radish at home it all goes into sambhar or just I prepare stir fry. This time for a change I made this chutney at home and it tasted so good. No one could guess that it was made with radish. The flavour of radish was completely binded with onions and coconut and the result was excellent. Try making this chutney and I am sure you are gonna love it. - 1 Radish
- 10 Shallots
- 5 Red chillies
- 5 Garlic
- 1 tbsp Urad dal
- 1 tbsp Channa Dal
- 2 tbsp Coconut
- Coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Urad Dal
- Curry leaves
Keep all the ingredients ready.
Heat a kadai and dry roast urad dal and chana dal till it becomes golden brown. Add red chillies and sauce for 2 mins. Remove it separately in a plate.
Pour little oil and fry radish, garlic and onions. Saute till it becomes soft.
Switch off and add coconut, coriander. Grind it along with roasted dal, salt and tamarind, adding little water.
Temper it with the given ingredients. It tastes very good with dosa/ chapathi.
