Peerkangai Paal Curry/ Ridge gourd milk curry
- 1/2 cup Ridge gourd Peeled and chopped
- 1 Onion chopped
- 1 tbsp Ginger chopped
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- Curry leaves
- 2 Red chilly
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 Green chillies optional
In a kadai heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chilly and curry leaves. Add onion and saute till translucent.
Add chopped ridge gourd, salt and turmeric powder. Saute for 2 mins.
Add 1/2 cup water and cook till the ridge gourd is done.
Simmer the flame and add milk. Switch off when it comes to a boiling stage.
You can have it with idly, dosa or as side dish for rice.
