Peanut Chutney Recipe / Verkadalai Chutney/ How to make Peanut chutney
Peanut is one of those healthy snack which i usually endup munching upon. They are an excellent source of protein. My mom used to prepare peanut chutney where she uses more coconut and little peanuts. In that chutney the taste of coconut dominates peanuts. But this recipe for coconut is diffrent from that since only a little quantity of coconut is being used. The taste and falvour of roasted peanuts emanates which I loved. It goes perfectly well with Vermicelli Upma, Rava Upma or Wheat dosa. You can try the same recipe with other nuts such as cashews, badam etc. There are various preparation methods for peanut chutneys available across internet, butt this one is my personal favourite so long. - 1/2 cup Peanut
- 4-5 Red chillies
- 4 Garlic cloves
- 2 tsp Coconut
- Tamarind a small piece
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- Curry leaves
Heat a kadai and add peanuts, garlic and chillies.
Sauce till the peanuts are nicely roasted.
Grind these along with coconut and tamarind by adding little water.
Temper with the given Ingredients. Peanut Chutney is ready.
