Oats Egg Uthappam
If you are left with some sour dosa batter then you can try this recipe with it. Instead of making the regular boring dosa you can prepare this colourful Oats Uthappam for your kids. Since we are adding oats and egg to this dosa, it will be a perfect nutritious breakfast. Learn how to make this Oats Egg Uthappam with easy stepwise pics.
- 2 cups Idly/ Dosa Batter
- 1 cup Oats
- 1 Onion
- 1 Tomato
- 1 Capsicum
- Coriander leaves
- 2 Green chillies optional
Take dosa batter in a bowl and add oats. Mix well and let it rest for 10 mins.
Meanwhile chop all the veggies into small pieces. Keep some for garnishing atlast.
In a kadai heat 1 tsp oil and saute all the veggies adding little salt for 4-5 mins. Let it cool.
Add this to the dosa batter and mix well. Add water to adjust consistency.
Heat tawa and apply oil. Spread the batter and sprinkle some raw veggies (kept for garnishing) and break an egg and pour on top. Pour oil.
Let it get cooked at bottom. Now flip sides and cook for 3 more minutes.
Tasty Oats Egg Uthappam is ready.
