Ingredients:
- Moong dal – 1/2 cup
- Rice – 3/4 cup
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Sliced onion – 1
- Green chilly – 4( Since its for my kid I have added only one)
- Chopped ginger – 1 tbsp
- Chopped tomato – 1
- Chopped cauliflower – 1/4 cup
- Green peas – 1/4 cup
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Salt
- Sabji masala – 1 tsp (u can add any masala of ur choice or u can skip it also)
- Coriander leaves
Method:
In a cooker heat oil, add cumin seeds, onions, ginger and chillies. Saute it.
Add chopped tomatoes, cauliflower and peas. Cook it for 2 mins. Add turmeric powder and sabji masala.
Add washed rice and dal. Add chopped coriander leaves.
Add 3 cups of water and sufficient salt. Cook for 4 whistles.
Once the pressure is down open the lid and add ghee and mix it well.
Serve with some boondi raita or chilly pickle.
