- Rice sevai/ semiya – 200 gm
- Finely chopped onions and carrots – 1cup
- Curry leaves – a spring
- Green chillies – 4
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Channa dal – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Lemon juice – 2 tsp
- Hing – 1/4 tsp
Boil 4 cups of water in a vessel. Switch off the flame and add the sevai. Cover and keep it aside, till it turns soft.
Once it is cooked drain off the excess water and let it cool down.
In a kadai heat oil, add mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal, curry leaves.
Add onions, carrots, green chillies, hing and some salt. Let it get cooked.
Add turmeric powder and sauce for 2 mins.
Now add the sevai and sufficient salt. Combine it together.
Serve it hot with some coconut chutney.
