Karnataka Style Chitranna/ Lemon rice

Ingredients
- 2 cups Cooked rice
- 2 tbsp Gingelly oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Urad dal
- 1/4 cup Peanuts
- Curry leaves
- Coriander leaves
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 ping Asafoetida
- Salt
- 2 Green chillies slit
- 1 Lemon
- 1 big Onion
- 1/4 tsp Sugar
Recipe Notes
Keep all the ingredients ready.
In a kadai heat oil and splutter mustard, urad dal. Add peanuts and curry leaves. Let it get roasted.
Add onions and sugar. Let it become brown. Now add turmeric and asafoetida.
Add cooked rice and salt (I have cooked rice adding sufficient salt. But if you are using left over rice add salt at this stage). Mix well.
Lower the flame and squeeze lemon. Combine well.
Tasty Chitranna is ready.
