- 2.5 cup Gram flour
- 1 cup Rice flour
- 1/2 tsp Asafoetida
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1/4 tsp Red chilly powder
- 2 tsp Pepper You can either crush it or powder it.
- 1 tbsp Garlic paste
Mix all the above ingredients. Make a dough by adding sufficient water.
Heat oil in a kadai. Drop a small piece of dough and it pops up immediately then the temperature is perfect to fry..
Grease the thenkuzhal press with ghee or oil. Fill with dough and start pressing in oil. Remove when the sound is completely off. Place in a kitchen towel.
Tasty karasev is ready to serve.
