Guacamole is a mexican dish which is basically an avocado based dip. It can also be served as a salad or condiment. It is usually served as a dip alongwith tortilla chips or nachos. It is made by using mashing fresh avocados with sea salt. Onions, cilantro, lime juice or jalapenos are added to enhance the flavours. Make sure you make it fresh whenever you need it. Avocados contain high amount of fibre and they are rich in vitamins and minerals, such as B-vitamins, vitamin K, potassium, copper, vitamin E and vitamin C. - 1 riped Avocado
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1 small Tomato
- 2 Jalapenos or red pepper
- Coriander leaves finely chopped
- 1 Lemon
- Sea salt
- 2 tsp Olive oil optional
Cut and remove the pulp from avocado. Chop it roughly and take it in a bowl.
Add chopped onions, peppers, tomato and coriander leaves. Squeeze the lemon and add sufficient sea salt. (Only sea salt can bring the perfect Mexican flavour, but incase you don't have it use regular salt or black salt.)
Mash it nicely using a masher. Add olive oil and mix well.
Serve this fresh guacamole with nachos.
