Easy Mushroom Masala Recipe

This a quick and easy recipe that takes no time to prepare. This would make a perfect combination for chapathi or dosa. Mushroom is something which I choose over Non veg as it is very easy to cook and equally tasty. This week I made this Mushroom masala for dinner and it turned out to be soo good. Cooking mushrooms really needs some care as it should not be undercooked or overcooked either. While cooking mushrooms make sure it absorbs all the water which is released initially. You can try making this curry with any type of mushroom or even with any of your favorite veggies. Learn how to make this tasty Mushroom Masala with stepwise pics.

Ingredients

  • 250 gms Mushrooms chopped
  • 2 Onions chopped
  • 3 Tomatoes pureed
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 3 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1.5 tsp Chilli powder
  • Salt
  • 1 cup Bell peppers cubed, any colour of your choice
  • coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 piece Cinnamon
  • 3 Cloves
  • 2 Cardamons

Recipe Notes

In a kadai add 1 tsp of oil and add the mushrooms. Mushrooms will start releasing water and cook till all the water is absorbed. Remove it to a plate.

To the same kadai add 1 tsp of oil and add bell peppers. Saute for 2-3 mins on high flame. Remove it to a plate.

Now heat the remaining oil and add cinnamon cardamon, cloves and chopped onions. Add little and saute till it turns golden brown.

Add the ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell goes.

Add coriander powder and red chilli powder. Reduce the flame and mix it evenly. Cook for 2 mins.

Add the tomato puree, 1/2 cup of water and mix together. Add chopped coriander and sufficient salt. Let it come to a boil.

Now add the cooked mushrooms and capsicums. Mix well and let it cook for another 2-3 mins on high flame.

Tasty and Easy Mushroom Masala is ready to be served.
