Basic skin care routine

Follow these simple steps for a healthier and younger looking skin.

1. Cleanse

Before you cleanse your face it is mandatory to remove the makeup on your face if any. You can use a good makeup remover or coconut/ olive oil as they nourish your skin too. Once all the makeup is removed use a genle cleanser to wash your face thoroughly. Cleanse your face atleast twice a day. Washing more often will simply strip off all the essential oils from face. Never use soap on your face, as it tends to dry out the skin.

2. Tone

Once we cleanse our face our pores open slightly and hence toning is very essential to close those pores firmly. Toning also hydrates your skin and make it supple. Rose water can also be used as a toner.

3. Moisturise

After toning follow immediately wih a moisturiser. This prevents any moisture loss from your face. For dry skin you need a heavy moisturizer whereas for oily and combination skin, a light oil-free moisturizer would do. If you are at your early 30s then this is the right time to start using your day and night creams.

4. Exfoliate

Exfoliation is nothing but removing the dead skin cells using a facial scrub. Its not advisable to exfoliate daily. You can do this proces twice or thrice a week. Gently rub your your face with a good facial scrub in circular motion avoiding the area around your eyes. This should be done before moisturising.

5. Sunscreen

A sunscreen is used to protect our skin from the UV rays whih causes ageing, tanning and skin cancer. It should be used after a mosturiser and before u start appying any makeup products like primer or any foundation. Always apply a sunscreen atleast 20 mins before you get exposed to sun. Its a must to have spf protection all through the year irrespective of the climatic conditions even if you stay indoor. While buying a sunscreen make sure it has UVA, UVB protection and PA+++ in it. Those who have oily skin you can opt for a gel based sunscreen.

Hope you all found this post useful. Be Beautiful… Be happy!!!
