This recipe is very easy to make and tastes so good. I always prepare this recipe when I have rice left over. This comes perfect with pressure cooked rice.
- Cooked rice – 2cups
- Onions sliced – 2
- Tomato sliced – 3
- Garlic – 10
- Green chilly – 3
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – a handful
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Chilly powder -1 tsp
- Channa dal – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
In a pan heat oil, urad dal and channa dal.
Add onions, garlic, green chilly and curry leaves.
Add turmeric powder and chilly powder. Saute it for 2 mins.
Add Tomatoes, coriander leaves and salt. Cover and cook for 5mins till the oil separates.
Now add the cooked rice and sufficient salt.
Switch off the flame and mix well.
