If you are left with dosa batter which has turned sour and you can't make dosas out of it, then here's a quick fix for it. These paniyarams tastes very good with hot and spicy tomato chutney.
- 2 litre Idly dosa batter
- Oil for frying
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tbsp Urad dal
- 1 tbsp Grated ginger
- Onion chopped
- Coriander leaves chopped
- 2 tbsp Sooji
In a kadai heat 2 tsp oil, add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
Add urad dal and let it become light brown.
Add onions, salt and ginger. Let it become soft.
Add coriander leaves and switch off. Let it cool down.
Mix it with the idly batter. Add sooji and mix well.
Heat oil in the kuzhipaniyaram pan. Once it is hot pour the batter and cover and cook. Flip sides and cook till it is done.
Serve with tomato chutney..
